What is this Oil Christ speaks of representing

What the oil is: modifies the requirements to obtain this oil. Shortened-The Search for oil or it’s neglect - part 1 Gospel of the Kingdom > Launching Pad for Second Coming The Search for Oil or it’s neglect - Part 1 Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Mark 13: 10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations. Luke 21: 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. 25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. What specifically is the Gospel of the Kingdom ? (Revelation ch 12/Isaiah14:12-17/ ) The saga of Heaven and the rebellion and war, the judgment and exile of Lucifer/Satan and the fallen angels, (John 1:1-3 ) Christ the Creator of Earth & it’s solar system and Adam and Eve (Genesis ch’s 1&2) ( Genesis ch 3 ) Satan’s beguiling and Adam and Eve’s fall, (Paul’s writings & Book of Hebrews.) Christ the Second Adam and Kinsman Redeemer, (Matthew 1:21/Isaiah 61:1-9 )Christ’s Mission & Incarnation and Life (includes Types - Symbols -Written Revelations -Lessons to Disciples -Miracles ) The Promised / Prophesied / Sanctuary driven Messiah fulfilling every promise of > Sacrifice and Resurrection and Ascension back to Heaven to oversee as conquering General and Vassal Ruler under the Most High God as His Commander in Chief for the rest of and completion of the war. Mediator and High Priest making atonements - with the following mission > Divine commissioner of the sealing process as sanctifier of His people in His calling to them as part of His Own calling and process of Theos(Doctrine / Ideology / Inreach / Outreach) and Ethos(Christ’s Ethics and Surrender and Obedience and Lifestyle) and D’etre(state of being converted/sanctified IE: abiding in Christ.) Thus calling, justifying, sanctifying, glorifying His followers with the glory given Him. This is the Apostles / End Time Everlasting Gospel. Not diluted baby food. (tell the story, it was just below Scottsville KY close to midnight a very cold snowy January night, By the road a man holding on to a fence standing in boot covering snow waving as we drove by) - tank is empty ? Jeep is not running miles back, and nearly 8 dark miles till home - a long walk in the cold and snow or a hopeless fiery ending. Oil a thing governments war over and people die without or prosper with. Often that is physically true, but ALWAYS ALWAYS spiritually true. What is this oil you will die without and prosper if your tank is full of ? Believe it or not it is represented by the PENNY in the parable - Matthew 19:30-20:19. “ Jesus says, “I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” All I can give either first or last is myself. If any one has been laboring for anything else except the Lord's glory, he will be disappointed in receiving a reward. The reception of the penny by the laborers represents the character that God will give to those who follow him. .... Quote at RH July 10, 1894, par 7.” and explanation at COL, chapter 28 the Reward of Grace, p396.2-404.2 the character that God will give to those who follow him. But what does this have to do with Oil ? Quotes at TMK p-350 & YI January 16, 1896 par 2 Bible & SOP > What is a person’s character ? “ And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee. 1st Chronicles 28:9. .......thoughts must be brought into subjection to the will of God and your feelings under the control of reason and religion. ......thoughts and feelings combined make up the moral character...........When you decide that as Christians you are not required to restrain your thoughts and feelings, you are brought under the influence of evil angels and invite their presence and their control. .....(and your lives will prove a failure )” EGW quote repeated in 5T p-310, MYP p-92, 2MCP p-660, MAR p-222, RC p-301. “ God is love. He has a care for the creatures he has formed. “Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. Psalms 103:13” ....Many experience needless unhappiness. They take their minds from Jesus, and center them too much upon self. They magnify small difficulties, and talk discouragements. They are guilty of the great sin of needless repining over God's providences. For all that we have and are, we are indebted to God. He has given us powers, that, to a certain extent, are similar to those which he himself possesses; and we should labor earnestly to develop these powers, not to please and exalt self, but to glorify him. But what does this have to do with Oil ? Quotes at TMK p-350 & YI January 16, 1896 par 2 Repeated at “The Revelation of Character, December 10 TMK p-350 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Matthew 25:10. “Let none follow the example of the foolish virgins and think that it will be safe to wait until the crisis comes before gaining a preparation of character to stand in that time. It will be too late to seek for the righteousness of Christ when the guests are called in and examined. Now is the time to put on the righteousness of Christ—the wedding garment that will fit you to enter into the marriage supper of the Lamb. In the parable, the foolish virgins are represented as begging for oil and failing to receive it at their request. This is symbolic of those who have not prepared themselves by developing a character to stand in a time of crisis. It is as if they should go to their neighbors and say, Give me your character or I shall be lost. Those that were wise could not impart their oil to the flickering lamps of the foolish virgins. Character is not transferable. It is not to be bought or sold; it is to be acquired. The Lord has given to every individual an opportunity to obtain a righteous character ..., but He has not provided a way by which one human agent may impart to another the character which he has developed.... “The day is coming, and it is close upon us, when every phase of character will be revealed by special temptation. Those who remain true to principle, who exercise faith to the end, will be those who have proved true under test and trial during the previous hours of their probation, and have formed characters after the likeness of Christ. It will be those who have cultivated close acquaintance with Christ who, through His wisdom and grace, are partakers of the divine nature. But no human being can give to another, heart devotion and noble qualities of mind, and supply his deficiencies with moral power. The Youth’s Instructor, January 16, 1896. Also read The Youth’s Instructor, January 30, 1896. The symbolic Penny in the parable is Christ’s character imputed and imparted inside the believer , this is a part of, one of the facets of what the Holy Oil represents. ( RH Aug 19, 1890,par 7) To be pardoned in the way that Christ pardons, is not only to be forgiven, but to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. "(RH Aug 19, 1890. Par 8) In the parable of the virgins, five are represented as wise and five as foolish. The name “foolish virgins” represents the character of those who have not the genuine heart-work wrought by the Spirit of God. The coming of Christ does not change the foolish virgins into wise ones. When Christ comes, the balances of Heaven will weigh the character, and decide whether it is pure, sanctified, and holy, or whether it is unclean, and unfit for the kingdom of heaven. Those who have despised the divine grace that is at their command, that would have qualified them to be the inhabitants of heaven, will be the foolish virgins. "(cont)They had all the light, all the knowledge, but they failed to obtain the oil of grace; they did not receive the truth in its sanctifying power. Holy Oil is gospel TYPE/AntiType =’s As the ancient Mosaic Aaronic anointing oil of the Sanctuary was a blended compound of sacred use (Exodus 30:22-38), so the Holy Oil represented in the Parable of the Wise/Foolish Virgins symbolic prophecy is in each individual a chain of spiritual things by God’s grace and power supernaturally blended together. A Divine and human, unique willing understanding partnership > into Heaven’s anointing oil that gives light from above and that light is personal piety acquired from Christ and delivered and implanted and engrafted by the Holy Ghost in all it’s forms, of God’s implanted grace, daily individually eaten and drunk and assimilated and engrafted and put to use . Consider the cleansing of the temple at the beginning of Christ's ministry. He found the Jews intent on gain. They had made the court of the temple a scene of sacrilegious traffic, and had turned the ancient and sacred institution of the Passover into a means of vile profit. They bartered deeply, turning the service instituted by Christ himself into the worship of mammon. But Christ came suddenly into the temple courts, divinity flashed through humanity, and raising a whip of small cords in his hand, with a voice that they will hear again in the execution of the judgment, he said, “Take these things hence. It is written, My Father's house shall be called a house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves.” The priests and rulers saw as it were an avenging Angel, such as guarded the way to the tree of life. 1888 p- 1490 Today this sacrilegious work is being more than repeated. There will be messages borne, and those who have rejected the messages God has sent, will hear most startling declarations. The Holy Spirit will invest the announcement with a sanctity and solemnity which will appear terrible in the ears of those who would not hear the pleadings of Infinite Love, and who have not responded to the offers of pardon and forgiveness. Injured and insulted Deity will speak, proclaiming the sins that have been hidden. As the priests and rulers, full of indignation and terror, sought refuge in flight at the cleansing of the temple, so will it be in the work for these last days. The woes that will be pronounced upon those who had light from heaven, and did not heed it, they will feel, but they will have no power to act. This is represented in the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. They cannot obtain a character from the wise virgins, and they have no oil of grace to discern the clear light, or to accept it, that they may join the procession going into the marriage supper of the Lamb. 1888 p-1490 Jesus defines who is allowed or not allowed > Mark 7:20-23 & Revelation 21:27 & 22:14. Those who would be ready to meet their Lord must keep their lamps filled with the oil of grace. It was a neglect to do this that distinguished the foolish virgins from the wise. They had lamps, but no oil; their characters could not stand the test. The wise virgins had not only an intelligent knowledge of the truth, but through the grace of Christ their faith and patience and love constantly increased. Their lamps were replenished by their vital connection with the Light of the world. And while the foolish virgins awoke to find their lamps burning dimly or going out in the darkness, the wise virgins, their lamps burning brightly, entered the festal hall, and the doors were shut. RH Feb 3, 1903, par 3 “The oil with which the wise virgins filled their lamps represents the Holy Spirit. “The angel that talked with me,” writes Zechariah,(Zech 4:1-14) .......What be these two olive branches, which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my Lord. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.” RH Feb 3, 1903, par 4 “By the holy beings surrounding his throne, the Lord keeps up a constant communication with the inhabitants of the earth. The golden oil represents the grace with which God keeps the lamps of believers supplied. Were it not that this holy oil is poured from heaven in the messages of God's Spirit, the agencies of evil would have entire control over men. RH Feb 3, 1903, par 5 “God is dishonored when we do not receive the communications that he sends us. Thus we refuse the golden oil which he would pour into our souls to be communicated to those in darkness. When the call shall come, “Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him,” those who have not received the holy oil, who have not cherished the grace of Christ in their hearts, will find, like the foolish virgins, that they are not ready to meet their Lord. They have not in themselves the power to obtain the oil, and their lives are wrecked. But if God's Spirit is asked for, if we plead, as did Moses, “Show me thy glory,” the love of God will be shed abroad in our hearts. The golden oil will be given to us. RH Feb 3, 1903, par 6 Only by knowing God here can we prepare to meet him at his coming. “This is life eternal,” said Christ, “that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3. But many of those who profess to believe in Christ do not know God. They have only a surface religion. They do not love God; they do not study his character; therefore they do not know how to trust, how to look and live. They do not know what restful love is, or what it means to walk by faith. Opportunities to hear and receive the messages of God's love are unappreciated and unimproved. They fail of understanding that it is their duty to receive, in order that they may enrich others. 2nd Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Remember the man in the snow at midnight ? Those of us inside the Ford Explorer quickly talked it over and all agreed and turned around to rescue the stranded disoriented cold shivering man, clinging to the fence in the dark. He had wet feet and legs trying to walk in the drifted snow next to the fence more than boot deep in the snow, and in cold wind, quickly getting colder and disoriented. We backtracked found him with our headlights and stopped and got him into the Explorer and soon safely home on a dark back road eight miles away in the direction of Scottsville. It took agreement among ourselves, then organized teamwork and action. We are all stranded and disoriented since Eden lost, and Earth is spiritually critically colder and chilling God’s love and character out of us, time is running out. God sent out His Only Rescue Team - Jesus Christ and the holy Ghost to search for us. The Bible & SOP is the only source of warming all who enter by faith hope love obeying from the heart because God’s Love so moves them, as the Holy Ghost puts them into His vehicle and drives safely toward home despite the mounting icy winds.
